A Charcoal and graphite drawing of Odin, otherwise known as Wotan.
In Norse mythology, he was the chief Aesir associated with:
War, the gallows, wisdom, death, royalty, and various mysticisms etc.
The character seems to have a dualist personality.
On the one hand, he is seen as the noble All-father.
And on the other, quite a ruthless seeker of power/wisdom,(and an instigator of conflict?)
Even trading one of his own eyes, to have a drink from Mimer's fountain of Wisdom.
He was gifted a spear, named Gungnir by the Dwarfs.
And had an eight legged Horse named "Sleipnir"
In Mythology, he was destined to kill /get killed by Fenrir
This is inspired by a painting by Georg von Rosen entitled "Odin the wanderer" 1886
